The ICT Research Institute of Iran, as the organizer of the 30th International Computer Conference of the Computer Society of Iran (CSICC), to be held in December 2026, is pleased to announce that, as one of the country’s leading scientific and specialized events, the conference is preparing to launch a series of challenge-based competitions as part of its 30th edition, with the aim of fostering meaningful connections between researchers and industry.
Accordingly, all companies active in fields related to the conference topics are invited to submit one or more of their key challenges to the Conference Secretariat on a confidential basis. Following technical refinement and formulation, selected challenges will be transformed into competition problems, and leading student and professional teams will compete to develop solutions.
Upon receiving challenges from participating companies, the Conference Scientific Committee will evaluate them based on criteria including clarity, solvability, innovation, and suitability for the competition and conference environment. Ultimately, only those challenges that meet the evaluation criteria and are deemed to have priority among the submissions will be selected as the main competition problem(s) and presented in an appropriate format as part of the competition call. It should be noted that the submission of a challenge does not constitute automatic acceptance, and the final decision rests with the distinguished members of the Conference Scientific Committee.
As the conference will provide the scientific and organizational framework for the competition, the type, value, and method of awarding prizes to the winners shall be determined by the participating company. Each company may propose its own incentive package—including cash or non-cash prizes, collaboration opportunities, technological facilities, training courses, and other forms of support—in any manner it deems appropriate. It should be noted that the company’s name will be acknowledged in all conference documentation as the “Challenge Designer and Prize Sponsor.”
If a company’s challenge is not selected for the competition, all information submitted by that company will remain strictly confidential and, upon the company’s request, will be returned to it.
